Heritage Park Construction Update

Since the closure of Heritage Park on August 30, 2021, construction crews have made several improvements to the park. The previous chainlink fences inside and surrounding the park have been removed and temporary fences installed for homeowners that do not have a wood fence. Construction crews also removed the vegetation and roots in the construction zone areas. New ramps and elevated walkways have been constructed and the pouring of asphalt/concrete in these areas has been completed. Crews have completed production and installation of the handrail areas. Installation of concrete fence posts and concrete fencing is also currently underway.

Throughout the construction process, crews will continue to clean and maintain the streets near the end of the cul-de-sac.

There have been several rain-out days, since the park closure, which has caused delays. If you have any questions about this project or other MUD services, please contact us and we will respond to you as soon as we can.

Heritage Park Closure

Harris County MUD 217 is excited to announce the Heritage Village Park improvement project. The Board decided to undertake this project to add additional security and protection for park visitors, as well as improving access and enhancing the beauty of our community. This project is expected to begin on August 30, 2021, and will continue through February 2022.

During construction, the park will remain closed. Please do not access the park during this time and observe all posted signs for your safety.

Monthly construction updates will be provided on the District’s website and will also be highlighted in the upcoming Fall 2021 newsletter.

Park improvements will include:

  • Installation of a precast concrete fence around the perimeter of the Park
  • Removal of some trees that interfere with the fence line
  • Installation of new ramps and walkways to improve access
